Lunar Eclipse

Lunar Eclipse

Our next lunar eclipse is occurring in the watery, emotional sign Pisces, on Friday the 28th. Not to stir the up and down waves of anxiety, but this eclipse is linked with: shadows, transformation, deep insights, mystical revelations, releasing past pain, removing cobwebs of entrapment, and using witchcraft or nitty-gritty detective skills to see through fraud.  Hummm…sounds like it’s time for a vacation at the beach where I ask a buff waiter to make lemonade with my lemons.

Historically, eclipse have been recorded for centuries. They are seen as omens, causes for transformation, celebration, and collective revelations. Some cultures hide from them while others are attracted by their movement.  Hopefully, this one will be a celestial signal for uplifting our spirits and improving our inner and outer alignments.  With the present current worldly turmoils, our collective energies certainly can use some heavenly healing.

On a mundane note, I’m hoping that this eclipse has a transformative effect on my two cat’s so that they start catching mice for their dinner instead of using them as hockey pucks at 2 in the morning.  Playing to win is the name of their purring game.

May your deepest depths be filled with a hopeful glow.

Taking a Lunar Journey

Taking a Lunar Journey

Using The Zodiac Light Oracle

By Kooch N. Daniels

Nakshatras also called lunar mansions by ancient sages and Vedic astrologers, have been viewed for thousands of years as a meaningful mode to watch the path of the moon on its monthly travel through specific segments of the star-filled ecliptic.  For those who understand the symbols associated with the 27 different Nakshatras, or moon signs, each becomes an ethereal resource that can disclose answers to questions such as: “Why am I in this body?”  “What is my karma?”  “Do I have a soul mate?” or other soulful questions that can involve marriage, divorce, and basically all aspects of worldly life.

Each of these 27 moon signs is connected to ancient deities, zodiac signs, planets, elements, animals in connection with attributes of the mind, body, emotions, and spirit. If you have a question about your life, you can look to your specific Nakshatra linked with your birth date to find your answers.

There are many reasons this resource is valuable.  Knowing your moon sign can accelerate your progress toward achieving your goals and help you fine tune how to take care of your earthly well-being.  The English name that accompanies each Nakshatra offers a snap shot view into its celestial theme.

If you’re interested in learning more about your moon sign, the planets, and your zodiac sign, I highly recommend that you find a copy my latest contribution to modern astrological interpretations.  It’s called The Zodiac Light Oracle — Nakshatras, Sun Signs, and Planets inspired by my teacher Harish Johari, and created by myself and an extraordinary visionary artist, Pieter Weltverede and my writing partner, Victor. It’s a fascinating blend of Vedic and Western astrology magically presented in a 48 card playing deck.  The cards images are divided between Nakshatras or moon signs, zodiac sun signs, and planets.

The Chariot Card–A Reminder to Stay Strong Minded

The Chariot Card–A Reminder to Stay Strong Minded

Some Keywords for the major arcana card The: Chariot,  Forward motion, transportation, being in a travel mode, and visible strides of progress.

Food For Thought: In uncertain times, while many of us are taking steps forward, we simultaneously question our forward momentum. What choices can we make to ease our worldly journey? Can we even be sure of our destination? How do we make confident decisions when the sphinx (Intense energies) pulling our chariot forward want to go in opposite directions?

If we select this card to answer our personal life questions, viewing it can be a reminder of the turning wheel of challenges set into motion by current events. Even in warring times, worrying about outcomes will not stop the wheel of life from turning. It’s best to be aware of each singular step we each take and open our hearts to appreciation for our precious life. Do I need to wake up and view the negative broadcasts on tv and go into depression?  Or, should I sit in meditation and hope to transcend the violent views of life on the screen?

Being alert to the “Now” in my personal world allows me to be patient and make choices as to which way I turn the wheel of my personal chariot.  Even when being in touch with worldly sorrows, instead of worrying about my destiny, I can reign in my focus to illuminate present positive possibilities. Since the charioteer can never be sure of what’s coming around the corner, putting attention on what’s immediately in front of you can not only be the best pathway to making meaningful choices, but it maybe even save your life.

May blessings of light illuminate your path,

Kooch

Happy New Year of the Horse and transits galore

Happy New Year of the Horse and transits galore

Don’t be surprised if you’re feeling a major shift from your norm as we transition into the Chinese year of the fiery horse. Power is key! Cosmically, we’re experiencing a solar eclipse in Aquarius, the sign of our collective, humanitarian spirit.

Also, Saturn, linked with structure, organization, tangible karmic lessons, is sitting kissing close to Neptune (illusion, imagination, fantasy) in the sign of Aries, the zodiac warrior. To make a long story short: It’s a good time to envision your well-being and take extra good care of yourself.  You can worry about Mercury being retrograde in Pisces, sign of the water loving fish, after Feb. 25th.

This morning after I finished sending my latest astro blurb to FB, a brilliant golden light flashed across the room about 4 feet in front of where I was sitting. Ten seconds later, the roaring sound of thunder crashed across my living room filling my being with terror.  I wasn’t sure if I was on my way to the other world as I saw my two cats running for their lives and ducking for cover.  All the metal in my mouth felt as if it was a melting saw blade cutting through my cheeks.  My heart went into crisis mode as I realized that a thunderbolt had just entered my personal world with a crash. Was my house about to fall apart? Was Thor coming to take me to the underworld, or was Kali coming in person to give me a difficult lesson that I’m needing to learn? While adrenalin pumped wildly throughout my body, I wondered if I would survive the moment.

Challenge is a word that leaves out the horrific feeling of stark terror.  I had left the word thunderbolt out of my astro narrative, not wanting to offer an overly negative divinatory message.  WTF!!!!  And now I had just come face to face with its sublime strength and beauty and watched it light shine like a spotlight on me from a close distance.

I’m breathing a bit better this afternoon after I had time to sleep and decompress. And I’m only feeling a stressful headache.  Maybe I shouldn’t stay awake til 5 am writing blogs???  What I know for sure is that I have so much gratitude for being alive today.  My take away message:  Enjoy each moment…in spite of the complexity of cosmic messages, as long as we’re awake in our body, we can each reach for the stars of our desires.

Sending wishes for your inner light to be one with the eternal flame burning within the compassionate hearts of master creators of the universe.

Love to each and every one of you!

Happy 2026 and so much more

Happy 2026 and so much more

Without us even thinking about it, the earth is turning, moving through cosmic space. As we wake up each morning, it’s the perfect time to look at the seeds of ideas that we’ve planted in our life.  How are we nurturing their growth?  How do we spend our time and energy to our best advantage? What responsibilities do we gladly accept and what ones do we hope to ignore?

Personally, I’ve experienced the loss of way too many friends to the god of death to take making choices for granted.  Knowing that I can’t control the up and down flow of positive and negative life energies brings me to a humble resolve. Enjoy each moment before it passes!!! Yet, as most of us know, in this crazy world that isn’t always so easy.

Hearing my muses mummer, I must share that I’m not trying to condemn myself for being late writing my blog and getting my life in timely order.  I’m not going to curse because I have dirty dishes hiding inside my stove.  No…I’m going to pull cards from my astro-oracle deck and seek answers to how I can live peacefully in spite of daily news being so bleak. Who am I becoming as the world turns? Where is the light hidden in my soul?

I could continue by ranting about global problems or talking about how people are being vaporized by hidden toxins in technology, but no.   I’m simply ending this note by sending you wishes for your dream’s fulfillment and a happy 2026.

And on an astrological note….
